Suite à notre première réunion du groupe de généalogie ACFAA pour 2012, nous avons pu annoncer que nous avons maintenant un accès wifi dans le Centre des Loisirs.
Les réunions sont vendredi chaque semaine 12 heures-14:30h .
Notre intention n’est pas seulement à retracer nos ancêtres, mais nous voulons aider les autres dans le groupe pour tracer leur propre. Chaque semaine, nous prenons un problème qui a été trouvé par un ou plusieurs de ses membres et de trouver une méthode pour lui aider, que ce soit les ancêtres d’un pays différent, archives de guerre ou des changements de nom.
L’adhésion est actuellement 16, allant de débutants aux experts avec plus de 30 ans d’expérience de la recherche généalogique.
Un ordinateur portatif n’est pas indispensable mais serait de l’aider, mais pour ceux avec un PC à la maison, les discussions seraient d’une grande aide dans leur recherche.
Les nouveaux membres seraient plus que bienvenus pour nous rejoindre, que vous soyez un débutant ou avez déjà commencé votre arbre généalogique, nous sommes tous là pour apprendre.
Je voudrais utiliser cette occasion pour remercier le comité d’ACFAA. Il a fait ce groupe possible en payant pour l’accès wifi et aussi pour leur aide et leur soutien.

Following our first meeting of the ACFAA genealogy group for
2012, we were able to announce that we now have full wifi access at the Centre des Loisirs.

We now meet on Friday each week between 12pm and 2.30pm.

Our aim is not only to trace our own ancestry but to help others in the group trace theirs. Each week we are taking a problem which has been found by one or more of the members and finding ways to assist, whether it be ancestors from a different country, war records or changes of name.

The membership, which is currently 16 strong, ranges from absolute beginners to the more experienced with over 30 years of genealogy research.

A laptop computer is not essential but would be of help, but for those with a pc at home, the discussions would be a great help with their search.

New members would be more than welcome to join us, whether you are a novice or already have your tree started, we are all there to learn from each other.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the ACFAA Committee for making this group possible by paying for the wifi access and their help and support.

ACFAA members at the Christmas Lunch were asked if they would like to bring with them a non-perishable food item to be donated to  the Resto du Coeur, the response was very, very  generous and also  touching because many people chose to bring along ‘luxuries’ which will be handed out on the 23rd December.

Members and others at the carols in the square in Eymet also gave very generously to the collection that was held there, even though many had already given to the church collection earlier, and the 141.50 Euros raised has already been passed on to the Resto leader to be converted into food.

There are centres locally in Miramont, and Bergerac as well as Eymet. Anyone in need can ask for their help, and the help that is given will be friendly and efficient and confidential.

Membres d’ACFAA au déjeuner de Noël a été demandé s’ils aimeraient apporter avec eux des aliments non-périssables pour être donnés à l’Resto du Cœur. La
réponse a été très, très généreux et touchant également car
beaucoup de gens ont choisi d’apporter «des luxes» qui seront remis le Décembre 23.

Membres et d’autres à les chants dans la place à Eymet également ont donné très généreusement à la collecte. Ils ont déjà
donné à la collection d’ancienne église, et les 141,50 Euros soulevées ont déjà été transmis au chef de Resto être transformé en nourriture.

The ACFAA choir are rehearsing for a Concert in Eymet Church on Friday 22nd June 2012. We urgently wish to hear from any local musicians who would be able to take part and accompany the choir. In particular we are looking for a drummer ,as well as stringed, wind and brass instrumentalists. The Choir rehearses weekly on a Wednesday night at 8pm, and new singing members are still welcome.

La chorale ACFAA répètent pour un concert à Eymet Eglise le vendredi 22 Juin 2012. Nous voulons bien entendre des musiciens locaux qui peuvent nous joindre à accompagner la chorale. En particulier, nous cherchons un batteur, ainsi que des instrumentalistes à cordes, vents et cuivres. La chorale répète toutes les semaines les mercredi soirsà 20 heures, et les membres nouveaux chanteurs sont toujours les bienvenue.
