We collect and process your personal information for the purposes of administering the operation and activities of the Association, including:

Our normal legal basis for recording your personal information is your consent, which you gave at the point you became a member of the Association and which you can withdraw at any time, including by resigning your membership.

  • Maintaining your personal details ensuring effective communications with you.
  • Keeping financial records (e.g. payment of your membership fees).
  • Undertaking research into our activities to ensure the effective reach of the organisation across age groups and nationalities.

Our normal legal basis for processing your personal information is that we believe it is in our legitimate interests to do so, in order for the Association to run effectively and efficiently.  We keep your personal information only for as long as is permitted by law and needed to administer the Association efficiently. 

How we share your personal information

Personal information is not shared outside of the Association and its members.

How we protect your personal information

The data is stored on single computer and on a cloud-based server, access to which is password controlled.  Access is restricted to the Officers and Committee of ACFAA.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal information that we hold about you. You also have the right to ask us to correct any inaccurate personal information we hold about you, to delete personal information, or otherwise restrict our processing, or to object to processing or communications, or to receive an electronic copy of the personal information you provided to us. Please note that all of these rights are qualified in various ways.
