5-15 Fone Film Festival

The Association participated in the inaugural 5-15 Fone Film Festival which took place at L’Eden in Eymet at the end of November 2025.  The brainchild of local residents Peter Coombs and his wife Gina, the festival was an opportunity for aspiring film-makers to showcase their skills.

Inspired by their time spent at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Peter explained that “We thought we’d do a Film Festival here but specifically for films made with smartphones so that it was something that pretty much everyone could participate in.  We made it so that the films would be quite short so it wouldn’t be too intimidating to take part, and making the final films accessible for French and English speakers, so whatever language your film was in you would put subtitles on it for the other audience members.”

The festival featured nine locally made films of different genres with a total running time of some 90 minutes.

ACFAA’s entry was produced by Steve and Nicola Lack, showcasing what we have to offer to members and the wider community locally.  It can be seen on our YouTube Channel or directly from the link below.

The evening was judged to be a success so much so that Peter and Gina are already planning the next festival that will take place in November this year.
