Tai Chi – Shibashi
Leader: Ellie Driver
Benefits of Shibashi
- Muscle toning and strengthening
- Cardio and Respiratory endurance
- Balance, Coordination
- Increase flexibility
All types of exercise require an element of muscular endurance and the same can be said for Shibashi. The ability to control movement whilst performing the sequence is important in order to ensure that the flow of Qi around the body is maintained. Over a period of time, muscle strength, cardio, balance, coordination and flexibility will increase.
The movements can be practiced seated, standing or with the aid of a chair for balance. Suitable for all abilities, visually impaired, arthritis and any other conditions.
The first class will focus on the body positioning, breathing into the movements and to assess your ability so the next classes can be tailored to your requirements.
Wear loose clothing, bring a blanket, water and yourselves for a very interesting session.
We meet each Thursday at La salle des fêtes in Agnac starting at 16h30 and finishing between 17h30 and 18h00.
I will look forward to welcoming and meeting you all.
Due to ACFAA having to pay a hall fee, the first term between 23rd October and 18th December will cost 10 €, payable at the first session.
