Valentine Dinner Dance
Valentine Dinner Dance – February 2026
Valentine’s Day has always been a special day for lovers. Some believe the name honours the many Valentines who were martyred in Roman times.
The annual celebration of love on 14th February was first mentioned in the Charter of the Court of Love, supposedly issued by King Charles VI of France in 1400. It was a grand festival with a feast, romantic songs, jousting and dancing.
This year, ACFAA celebrated Valentine’s Day, thankfully without the jousting, but guests were welcomed with a glass of bubbles and a room beautifully decorated with red and pink hearts.
Helen Anderson and her team served a lavish feast with plenty of wine to go with it. Amorous songs and music were provided by the wonderful duo, Terry and Sussie, for star-crossed lovers and line dancers to enjoy the evening.
Couples and friends could capture the moment in the heart-shaped Photo Booth, beautifully crafted by the ACFAA Atelier Group.
The ACFAA Social Committee worked hard to make this wonderful event and celebrate the day.
