Foire de Bordeaux

Trip to Foire de Bordeaux  – May 2026

We had another successful ACFAA trip to Parc des expositions in Bordeaux last Thursday for the Foire International 2026.

This is a huge venue and thankfully well air-conditioned with the extreme heat outside.  There was so much to see, something for everyone.

You could, if you wish, buy a car, a tractor, a stunning state of the art camper van, a lawn mower, double glazing, horses, chickens, ducks, turkeys, cows, the list goes on.

Inside there were sheepdog trials and you could watch a father and his daughter’s expert training techniques, successfully encouraging their dogs to guide flocks of sheep through different obstacles, with merely a quiet whistle from the sidelines of the arena.

Outside were equestrian trials and numerous other events throughout the day.

There were plenty of places inside to stop and have coffee or a drink and something to eat and a choice of restaurants outside overlooking the river.  Maureen and I did venture out for a coffee but it was so very hot we didn’t stop out for long.

Many purchases were made from soap to honey, artwork, beautiful handmade jewellery, high class leather goods, bespoke metal work, pottery, even a kitchen and many more items.  Luckily no cows or sheep were stowed away on our return journey!
